At Westwood Family Chiropractic, we strive to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for our patients during their first visit. When you and your family come in for an exam, our skilled chiropractors will do a comprehensive history, spinal exam, postural analysis, and digital x-rays if warranted. This enables us to create a personalized plan for care that addresses your specific concerns and promotes optimal wellbeing.
On your second visit, our experienced chiropractors will take the time to review the results with you and answer any questions you may have. Together, we will review a personalized plan for your care in our office, that is tailored to address your specific goals. Finally, you will have the opportunity to receive your first chiropractic adjustment in our office. It is our commitment to offer exceptional care and empower you on your journey to improved health.
Your First Visit
Initial Forms
Feel free to fill out our health history forms before your first visit to the office.
Consultation
The consultation is a designated one-on-one time to review your health history, address any concerns or questions that you may have, and explain how chiropractic care may help.
Examination
Following the consultation the doctor will perform a complete chiropractic evaluation testing the health of your spine and nervous system. This will include a physical examination of your spine and a computerized postural exam.
X-Ray Study
Depending on your health history, age, and exam findings, we may suggest x-rays. X-rays give us the ability to see the alignment and motion of your spine. It gives us a clearer picture of spinal biomechanics and your spinal history.
All of this allows us to determine the most appropriate way to care for you. It also gives us a baseline for the future, so we can accurately measure your progress and improvement. At the end of your first visit, we will schedule your second appointment.
Your Second Visit
Report of Findings
During this visit, we will review with you the findings from your initial exam, it will last approximately one hour. This visit will allow us to explain how we can help you. The doctor will review your exam results, present your recommended personalized care plan with your goals in mind, review financial options, and outline the benefits you can expect.
Your First Adjustment
At the end of your second visit, you will have the opportunity to receive your first chiropractic adjustment. Our goal is to support you in the best manner possible. Some opt to use chiropractic care to build their general wellbeing. Some opt to use chiropractic care to help with an immediate concern. We will support you to receive the type of care that you desire for yourself and your family.
Your Self Care Visit
The Self Care Visit offers a comprehensive approach to optimizing your chiropractic care and lasts about 30 minutes. Our goal is to empower you with the knowledge and tools necessary to take an active role in your own well-being. During this visit we will give you strategies to help you reclaim your health and promote a vital lifestyle. You do not need to be a practice member to attend a self-care visit.
