Dr. Katherine Roose Earns Pediatric Certification

Westwood Family Chiropractic is proud to announce that Dr. Katherine Roose has been granted her Pediatric Certification by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association’s (ICPA) renowned Certification Program.

The ICPA offers an opportunity for chiropractors to achieve certification in pediatric care through advanced academics and clinical studies. The 20 course, 200-hours of curriculum provides the doctor with techniques and protocols of care for children and pregnant women. It provides advanced levels of training and expertise in addition to what is offered in chiropractic college.

In addition to her latest certification, Dr. Katherine was honored by her alma mater, Palmer College of Chiropractic, at their annual Homecoming Event! She was the recipient of one of their “10-Under-10” awards which celebrates 10 Palmer College alumni who graduated within the past 10 years and are doing AMAZING work in their local community and in the greater chiropractic profession. She received this honor due to her dedication to continuing education (earning her CSSPP (advanced training and examination in pediatric adjusting) in 2023 and CACCP in 2024), strong community ties, charity work, and her willingness to give back to the chiropractic profession by serving as a teaching assistant for the Peak Potential Institute.

Dr. Katherine, along with her husband, Dr. John Redhead, and her sister, Lauren Roose, traveled to Davenport, Iowa for the special weekend to celebrate Dr. Katherine’s award.

We are so proud of Dr Katherine for both earning her CACCP and receiving the Palmer “10-Under-10” Award and appreciate her continued dedication to improving her level of clinical care for her patients.
